Poet, editor and UMSL alum Jennifer Tappenden will sign and read from her new chapbook, “Independent City”!

JR Tappenden is the founding editor of “Architrave Press.” She earned an MFA in poetry from the University of Missouri – St. Louis where she also served as the university’s first Poet Laureate. Her poems have appeared in “The Baltimore Review,” “Flyway,” “Compose,” and elsewhere. Jen is poetry editor for december magazine, an organizer of both the St. Louis Small Press Expo and UMSL’s Natural Bridge Debut Writers Series as well as an all-out-fool for gears, lead type, and thick paper. She was a visiting writer at Wells College in October 2016 to coincide with the release of her chapbook, Independent City, from Wells College Press.
This event is free and open to the public, but proof of purchase of “Independent City” from Left Bank Books will be required to enter the signing line.
