Tell us about Medina Mediterranean Grill.

Medina Grill is fusion, fast-casual style Mediterranean food. We serve shawarma. We specialize in falafel, sandwiches, salads and wraps.

What are some of your most popular items on the menu?

We specialize in a few of the house favorite items. When you come in, if you look at our menu, you’ll see the house favorites have the palm trees next to them. The Original Palestine is on a flat pita wrap with lettuce, pickles, tomatoes, onions and garlic tahini sauce. It’s served on a warm pita. You have your choice of beef, chicken or mixed. We also have the shawarma salad, it’s the complimentary to The Original Palestine, in a salad form. We also have the classic falafel, which is our vegetarian option. It’s on a warm pita, with hummus, cucumber tahini salad, onions, pickles, turnips, lettuce and five little bites of falafel. 

What is your favorite item on the menu?

I don’t have a personal favorite, but I do have a few go-to’s. It depends on what I’m in the mood for. What separates us from most Mediterranean restaurants is that, when you go to some places they’ll have like 20-25 good things on their menu. We have about 10 or 15 really amazing things. Less is more. It just depends on what I’m in the mood for. Right now, my go-to would be a rice bowl.

What do you like most about being located in the Central West End?

Central West End is the heart of St. Louis. It’s where all the action is at. It’s a beautiful neighborhood with amazing people who have been very supportive and very welcoming since we’ve opened up. Most people love our food. This is our second location, so we have a little bit of familiarity with it, but at the same time, it’s new to a lot of people.
