Join the World Chess Hall of Fame online for an evening discussion of Walter Tevis’s novel The Queen’s Gambit, a coming-of-age story of a young chess prodigy, Beth Harmon. Chronicling Beth’s childhood living in an orphanage, her rise as a triumphant grandmaster, and her personal struggles as she feels the pressure increase to compete for the U.S. Chess Open, Tevis’s tale is a captivating page-turner. Celebrate the Holiday Season | CWE Window Walk

Saturday, December 19
1-5 p.m.

This Saturday is your last opportunity to experience the CWE’s annual Window Walk! Window Walk brings back the time-honored tradition of going downtown to see festive windows, while showcasing the CWE’s retail and dining establishments. Local designers partner with select businesses to decorate their windows, and this year’s theme for all designs is “Family, Friends, and Neighbors” — a special reminder that even though this year’s festivities may look and feel a little bit different, our loved ones (whether near or far) can still bring us joy this holiday season.

Safely stroll amidst elegantly decorated windows, while shopping at boutiques, and enjoying seasonal libations and delicious meals at local restaurants. You can also enjoy FREE socially distanced holiday festivities, including ice carvings, carriage rides, carolers, live music, street performers, a roaming Santa, and more! For more information, click here.
