On April 7, celebrate contemporary art in the Central West End with four gallery openings.
Spend an evening exploring all that McPherson Avenue has to offer — all galleries are within walking distance of some great CWE dining establishments, too!
Featuring Nancy Newman Rice and Irina Zaytceva, two artists whose aesthetic vocabulary is fixated on intense levels of detail and craftsmanship. Utilizing mood rich color palettes and provocative, narrative focused concepts, their work demands attention and exploration.
Featuring Andrew Brandmeyer, Larry Torno, Zack Smithey and special guest artist Eric Wieringa.
Featuring Valerie Jaudon’s “Stations and States” and Chuck Webster’s “Lands and Castles.”
Featuring “Transparency Shade: Seeing Through the Shadow,” an exhibition curated by Modou Dieng and features artists Philip Aguirre y Otegui, Zoë Buckman, Kendell Carter, Kahlil Irving, Ayana V. Jackson, Michael Riedel and Hank Willis Thomas.
Openings are free and open to the public. For more information about specific artists, please contact the artists directly.
