Are you ready for the weekend? There’s a lot happening Friday through Sunday in the Central West End, including the legendary CWE Halloween Party. Join us and our businesses to celebrate with festivities that are fun for all ages. Here are five ways to have a spooktacular time in the neighborhood this weekend.

Attend a Costume Party| Up-Down STL
Join Up-Down on Friday for their annual Halloween Costume Party. They’ll have specialty cocktails including their famous Blood Bag Cocktail, spooky decor and more. Come dressed up, play some arcade games and try their delicious drinks. Make sure to get a picture at their photo booth and enter the costume contest. At 11 p.m. they’ll pick the best individual and group costumes. On Saturday, as you explore the neighborhood and enjoy the festivities centered around Maryland and Euclid, head up the street to enter their costume contest. Saturday’s winners will be picked at 7 p.m. Both nights, you’ll have the chance to win cool prizes. You must be 21+.

CWE Halloween Party
Join us on Saturday for the legendary CWE Halloween Party! We’ll have festivities all day that people of all ages will enjoy. Bring your little ones out for our Kids’ Parade at 11 a.m. from McPherson to the stage at Maryland. Afterwards, they can enjoy performances, a dance party, crafts, face-painting and much more. Make sure to get a family photo at the fall backdrop at the Maryland Plaza fountain! At 1 p.m. bring your furry friend to the Pet Parade following the same route. You can enter your pup in the costume, where they will be judged based on categories like cutest, funniest, etc. At the stage, enjoy watching dogs compete in fun games. As the sun sets, the party continues with an adults-only bash starting at 6 p.m. You’ll enjoy drinks and food from some of your favorite CWE restaurants such as Brennan’s, The BBQ and Whiskey Saloon, Drunken Fish, Kingside Diner, Maryland House, Patty Long Catering, Saigon Cafe and Up-Down. At 8 p.m. the famous Adults Costume Contest will take place at the stage. This contest is known for its elaborate, wild and creative costumes. There will be over $7,000 in cash and prizes awarded. Dance in Costume| Club Viva
Head to Club Viva to dance the night away and enjoy a costume contest. Grab some friends and make your way over to enjoy a lively atmosphere, drinks and participate in a costume contest for the chance to win money or other goodies. Registration is not required. They’ll have $1,500 in cash and prizes for the top three winners. Doors open at 8 p.m. and admission is $15. To enter this spirited party, you must be 21+.

Treat Your Pup| Treats Unleashed
After your pup participates in the Pet Parade and Costume Contest, head down to Treats Unleashed to reward them with a treat. You can even choose from Halloween-themed cookies like pumpkins, cauldrons, vampires and more. You can also order a Personalized Jumbo Pumpkin Treat for your dog to enjoy. This is the perfect way for your pup to celebrate the season with you. While there be sure to check out their selection of foods, toys and accessories for your canine or feline friend.

Dine Out| Brasserie by Niche
With beautiful weather expected this weekend, recharge Sunday morning on the patio at Brasserie. If you’d like something sweet for brunch, try their Sweet Beignets with house made fresh cheese and dried plum compote, Pastry du Jour or Brioche French Toast. You can also have a hearty meal by ordering their Eggs Benedict which includes poached eggs, toasted brioche, ham, Dijon hollandaise, breakfast potatoes and can be made vegetarian or their Veggie Hash, featuring seasonal vegetables, shiitake mushrooms, onions, breakfast potatoes, fines herbs vinaigrette, poached eggs and can be prepared vegan.
