5 Things To Do This Weekend: Dec. 15-17

Are you looking to get into the holiday spirit? Or are you looking for new festivities to enjoy with friends and family? Come to the Central West End, where we have a weekend filled with activities and opportunities for you to dine, shop and celebrate the season. Check out five things we’re recommending you do in the neighborhood this weekend.

CWE Window Walk

This Saturday from 1-5 p.m., join us for more Window Walk festivities that make for a fun afternoon for kids and adults! Enjoy live music and entertainment throughout the neighborhood, munch on free kettle corn and s’mores and snap photos with Santa, among many other festivities. The CWE will be full of life and Window Walk is a great way to surround yourself with holiday spirit. If you can’t make it this weekend, our final Window Walk Saturday will be next week, Dec. 23.

Attend a Gallery Opening| Duane Reed Gallery

If you love art, you won’t want to miss Duane Reed Gallery’s opening reception for their new exhibitions. Join them on Friday from 5-8 p.m. to see their new exhibitions from artists Andrea Moon, Dryden Wells and Ahzad Bogosian. You’ll get to enjoy viewing a mix of art including incredible ceramics from Moon and wells and paintings from Bogosian.

Try a New Cocktail| Lazy Tiger

You might’ve missed the news that Lazy Tiger’s bar manager, David Greteman was named an industry innovator by Feast Magazine. Lazy Tiger offers unique drinks and you’ll have your choice of a long list of agave, whiskey, gin and rum cocktails. If you haven’t been before, try the “low country” which is one of their most popular cocktails and includes bourbon and green tomato! Plan to stay a while and enjoy tasty food from Yellowbelly with your drinks. A Friday or Saturday night at Lazy Tiger is a great way to wrap up your day.

Shop and Make a Wish| Provisions St. Louis

Do you still have shopping to do for the holidays? Head to Provisions to find something unique for your family and friends. They have a range of gifts including home goods, jewelry, candles and other fun items. While you’re there shopping, make sure to participate in their Wishing Tree Project. You can write down a wish and tie it to their tree outside of the store!

Enjoy Music and Festive Drinks| Evangeline’s Bistro

Looking for a special dining experience? Go to Evangeline’s for dinner or brunch and enjoy live music with your meal. For a limited time, you can also enjoy a festive cocktail. Celebrate the holidays with one of their many new additions, including a gingerbread martini. Can’t make it this weekend? Evangeline’s often has live music throughout the week that you won’t want to miss.

Reminder as you’re traveling around the CWE this weekend, that transportation is now easier thanks to the Euclid Shuffle! If it’s too cold for you to walk, or you parked far away, you don’t need to let that stop you from exploring the neighborhood. You can take a free ride along Euclid Ave. from Forest Park Ave. to Washington Ave. You can call or text the shuttle for a ride. Hop aboard!
