Ranoush to open in former Kopperman’s Deli space in the Central West End

The Syrian restaurant’s latest iteration will replace Levant on Euclid Avenue.

Ranoush will open a new location in the Central West End in late February. The Syrian restaurant’s second venue will replace Levant at 386 N. Euclid, the space previously occupied by Kopperman’s Deli.

Ranoush owner Aboud Alhamid, who also runs the longtime location in the Delmar Loop, expects the restaurant to open in about four weeks. He says the transition should be simple and seamless, with a few cosmetic changes to the interior. “We’ll change the name, the menu, and a little bit of the decoration,” he says, noting that, like the other Ranoush location, the fare will be fresh and healthy.
