Central West End restaurants band together in initiative to help health care workers and others in need

Central West End restaurants are pitching in to help community members affected by the coronavirus pandemic.

Eateries such as Cocina Latina, Dressel’s Public House, Drunken Fish, El Burro Loco, Evangeline’s Bistro, MaryAnn’s Tea Room, Medina Mediterranean Grill, Pi Pizzeria, The Preston, Salt + Smoke, Straub’s, and Thai202 are teaming up with the Central West End Business Community Improvement District to offer meals to frontline health care workers and homeless individuals who are impacted by social distancing guidelines at local shelters.

Individuals can visit the Central West End website to donate a $15 meal to a health care professional or person in need. NCID will place orders with participating restaurants on a rotating basis, so it’s fair for everyone involved.
