This weekend, get a front row seat of all the action! For the second time, the Saint Louis Chess Club is hosting the Cairns Cup, an elite level tournament for the top female players from around the world. Fans can look forward to a chess tournament similar in style to the prestigious Sinquefield Cup with the ten best female players from around the world competing in the Chess Club’s world-renowned facility for a $180,000 prize fund. 90 Minute Charity Class (Donate Whatever Your Heart Desires)
In honor of American Heart Month, Orangetheory Fitness is celebrating the “heart” for the entire month of February. This Saturday, they are hosting a 90-minute donation class to raise money and awareness for the American Heart Association. For more information or to sign up for class, call (314) 590-3702. Treat your Valentine to an extraordinary experience of the senses. This annual event at The Candle Fusion Studio is a favorite and sells out fast!
Enjoy an evening of hands-on creativity and adventure at their Central West End studio. Together, create your own romantic candlelight. Choose from 100+ fragrances to blend together at the candle bar. Cost is $65 per couple and includes two custom 8 oz “pour your own” candles, two drinks (wine/beer), chocolates, and live music. From February 9 through the 21, artist Peter Manion is taking over Houska Gallery, transforming it into his personal studio. This Sunday, peek in and see what he’s doing and watch the installation take shape. The completed works will be on view at the opening reception on February 21 from 5-8 p.m.
