Dine Out and Help Heal Hunger

Throughout the month of July, YOU can help make a difference in the fight against hunger!

Operation Food Search has teamed up with FEAST Magazine, Tony’s Family Farms and top local restaurants for the eighth year of Tomato Explosion! Participating restaurants will donate a portion of their sales from a special tomato-inspired dish, so OFS can connect kids to nutritious meals during the summer.

Three CWE Restaurants are participating:

Kingside Diner

The Margherita Flatbread- vine-ripe tomatoes, home-grown basil (grown right on their rooftop), mozzarella, olive oil, and a little balsamic reduction

Mission Taco Joint

Chips and Salsa

The Tavern Kitchen & Bar

July Salad Special- heirloom tomatoes, ricotta, basil and whey

Operation Food Search is a St. Louis-based non-profit organization dedicated to ending hunger in the greater St. Louis metropolitan area. Established in 1981, they are the largest distributor of free food in the bi-state region. They distribute more than 3 million dollars worth of food and household essentials to 330 community partner agencies, which in turn feeds 200,000 people in need each month.
