Celebrate contemporary art in the Central West End with the opening of several exciting spring shows on Friday, Feb. 10.
Featuring Ethan Meyer & Dana Oldfather, two painters who blur the lines between object and environment while creating tension and expansiveness within a vast repertoire of mark making. Also featuring an installation by muralist Jacob Berkowitz.
Featuring painter Christopher Ruess.
Featuring Edge, an exhibition of hard-edge paintings by some of the more interesting practitioners in the field today.
Featuring The Object As Mirror, an exhibition that explores the construction and reflection of personal and social identity through art and fashion.
All shows will open with receptions from 5-8 p.m., which are free and open to the public.
Also opening on Feb. 10 — the launch of HEX and Living Collective at their new home inside TechArtista (4818 Washington Ave.).
Atrium Gallery (4814 Washington Ave.) will open its spring show, Abstraction, on Friday, Feb. 17, with a free reception from 6-8 p.m.
