Are you ready for the weekend? There’s plenty to enjoy throughout the Central West End on Friday through Sunday. Whether you’re in the mood to shop, play arcade games, try new food or new drinks, there’s something for everyone to enjoy in the neighborhood. Here are five things to do this weekend in the CWE.
Celebrate a Business Anniversary| Up-Down St. Louis
This weekend, celebrate five years of Up-Down being in the CWE! On Friday at 6 p.m., they will have their 5 Cent Beer Party. As long as supplies last, you can enjoy a nice cold one for only five cents. On Saturday is their Summer Costume Party. Starting at 8 p.m., Up-Down will have a special playlist, cocktails and a costume contest with prizes. Finally, join them for their biggest arcade tournament of the year on Sunday. It’s free to play, so test your skills in King of Cade, a double-elimination tournament covering games throughout Up-Down. For every round you win, win prizes and the top finishers get extra-exciting prizes. You can sign up from 1-1:45 p.m., with the tournament starting at 2 p.m. These will be several days of fun that you won’t want to miss.
Have a Father’s Day Drink| Kingside Diner
Enjoy Father’s Day brunch this Sunday at Kingside. You’ll find all your breakfast favorites like French toast, omelets, hash browns and more. They will also be offering $1 beer-mosas, which features a refreshing twist of Bud Light and orange juice. Sit outside on their patio and take in a great view of the neighborhood or enjoy the lively atmosphere inside. Whatever your plans may be, Kingside is a great way to start your Father’s Day with a hearty and delicious meal.
Shop Local| Esther & Mila
Visit Esther & Mila to shop the latest in body care. While you’re probably familiar with the jewelry and crystals that the store offers, have you checked out their wide selection of body care? They have a variety of treatment items that are handmade in St. Louis. Check out their body creme, where has avocado, cocoa and sea buckthorn which help provide the appearance of moisturized skin. You may also like their sugar body scrub and hand and foot treatment. If you’re spending time outside, make sure to check out their repair day creme, which has buckthorn and macadamia to help repair sun sensitivity.
Try New Ice Cream Flavors| Jeni’s Splendid Ice Creams
Jeni’s Hot Summer Spins collection is here! Head over to try out five new additions, here for a limited time. The new flavors are Burnt Orange Dreamsicle, a juicy orange ice cream with vanilla custard and orange caramel; Double Dough, a chocolate chip cookie dough swirled into a buttery brown sugar custard; Snow Cone Sorbet, a twist of blue brambleberry, watermelon and pink lemonade sorbets and Sparkling Cherry Pie, a sour cherry and Sichuan peppercorn ice cream with tart cherry jam and shortbread crust. Dine Outside| Saigon Cafe
