5 Things to Do This Weekend in the CWE: May 3-5

In need of weekend plans? The Central West End has you covered. We’ve got events happening throughout the weekend! Whether you’re in the mood to shop, view art, sip wine, listen to live music or something else, there is something in the neighborhood for everyone to enjoy. Here are five ways we suggest you spend your weekend in the CWE!

Shop Vintage| Euclid Vintage

If you love shopping vintage clothing but haven’t been to Euclid Vintage yet, you’re missing out. There’s a mix of vintage clothing perfect for men and women, with a special focus on vintage t-shirts from the ’70s through the ’90s. These vintage tees can feature bands, movies, sports teams and more and would look good on someone of any age. This Friday, from 11 a.m.-5 p.m., they will be offering Chained Up Vintage clothing. This will feature a carefully-curated selection of tops, bottoms, outerwear and more. Make plans to stop by and find some unique pieces to add to your wardrobe!

Attend an Anniversary Celebration| TechArtista

On Friday from 6-11 p.m., TechArtista will celebrate 10 years of being in the CWE. Take the opportunity to view the grand opening of “Life Between the Cracks”, an exhibition curated by their 2024 Artist-in-Residence, Lu Ray. As you’re taking in the dynamic, beautiful artwork, enjoy mingling with the community, sipping on refreshments and listening to live music. This event will be lively and fun, great for artist lovers and those wanting to experience something new. The event is free but you need to RSVP here.

Enjoy Live Music and Crawfish| Evangeline’s Bistro

On Saturday, join Evangeline’s Bistro for their 11th Annual Crawfish Boil. They are partnering with LSU alumni to serve fresh Louisianan crawfish. There will also be live music from 11:30 a.m. to 10 p.m., with the stage inside and speakers set up outside so those on the patio can enjoy it too! If you love live music but not so much crawfish, Evangeline’s will also be serving their regular menu and offering full bar service. Worried you’ll miss the Kentucky Derby? Evangeline’s will air Derby coverage from 4-6 p.m. This will be a lively, fun-filled day that you won’t want to miss. For more info and to purchase tickets, visit here.
