5 Things to Do This Weekend in the CWE: Jan. 3-5

Celebrate the first weekend of 2025 in the Central West End! There’s something for everyone to enjoy in the neighborhood from shopping to dining out to games and more. Here are five ways to spend your weekend in the CWE.

Eat at a Returning Restaurant| Ranoush

You may have heard that late last week, Ranoush re-opened! We’re excited to have this beloved restaurant back in the neighborhood. Visit them for dinner and start off with cold mezza options like Hummus or Baba Ganoush. For your main course, try the Chicken Shawarma or Vegetarian Platter. Make sure to save room for delicious dessert such as Balkawa or Knafeh, Ranoush’s signature dessert and Syrian delight. Whatever you choose, you’re sure to enjoy and will leave you wanting to return again and again.

Have a Family Day Out| Up-Down

It’s Family Hours at Up-Down this Sunday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.! Bring your kids to the arcade to enjoy a variety of unique games, as well as the classics. With the cool winter weather outside, this is the perfect indoor activity for all to enjoy. If you get hungry, have one of Up-Down’s delicious slices of pizza. They’ll have soda and other kid-friendly drinks for your little ones, along with a full bar for those 21 and older.

Kickstart Your Day with a Hearty Breakfast| Pickles Deli

If you haven’t been to Pickles for breakfast, you’re missing out. Whether you’ve got a busy day ahead of you in the CWE or elsewhere, or you just want to stroll down the street from your home for breakfast out, Pickles has the perfect Saturday morning meal.
