You can attend an opening reception of a new art gallery, celebrate Independent Bookstore Day, treat your pup to new accessories and explore our shops and restaurants. Attend an Opening Reception| Square One Gallery
This Friday from 6-9 p.m., join Square One Gallery for their grand opening! View “Time After Time”, a solo exhibition by Sage Barnes that features art created primarily with acrylic and spray paint and is characterized by urban street art-inspired portraits. You’ll get an intimate look at the artist’s creative process as well as insight into the complex emotion surrounding the body of works. As you take in the art in the beautifully open space, you can also enjoy a drink and bite to eat. We’re excited to welcome another art gallery to the neighborhood and this is a perfect event to check out what Square One is about.
Celebrate Independent Bookstore Day| Left Bank Books
Independent Bookstore Day is April 27 and Left Bank Books is celebrating with a day full of festivities from 10 a.m.-8 p.m. They will have two celebrity storytime hours that are great for families and an author happy hour where you can mingle with three local authors while enjoying a cocktail or mocktail. Freebies for you include stickers and deluxe bookmarks and limited edition items for sale include special editions of books, clothing, special pins and more. During your visit, make sure you take pictures in their IBD photobooth with cat Orleans-themed props! This will be a day that readers of all ages will love!
Pamper Your Pup| Treats Unleashed
Do you have a pup in need of a new harness or collar? This Saturday, visit Treats Unleashed for their “Find Your Fit” event. An experienced staff member will fit your dog for a new harness or collar, making sure that your pet gets stylish yet proper gear. You can also complete a personal feeding plan consult. When you find your harness/collar fit or food, you’ll be entered to win five days of free daycare at a pet daycare near you! Whether you have a new puppy or you’re looking to revamp your dogs’ accessories, bring your pup in to get pampered.
Try Fusion Food| Pizza Twist & Taco Twist
If you’re looking to dine out this weekend, try Pizza Twist & Taco Twist. This recently-opened restaurant offers a fresh take on pizza and tacos by adding Indian flavor. Whether you’re a fusion lover or looking for something new, you need to check this place out. They offer pizza with an Indian twist, along with wings, pasta and more. The Taco Twist side of the restaurant gives an Indian twist to tacos, burritos, bowls and more. Popular items include their cheeseburger pizza, spicy chicken masala and fish tikka tacos. After spending your day in the CWE, want to wrap your day up with a nightcap? Stroll down to Brennan’s to enjoy a delicious drink in a spot perfect for conversation and gathering with friends. Get together inside Brennan’s cozy, sleek space or sit on the patio and take in the neighborhood. If you’re in the mood for a glass of wine or a pint, they have a wide selection for you to choose from. For cocktail fans, you can order one of the classics or try one of their rotating signatures. Brennan’s also offers bites to eat if you want to pair something with your drink.

Reminder as you’re traveling around the CWE this weekend, that transportation is now easier thanks to the Euclid Shuffle! If you do not wish to walk, or you parked far away, you don’t need to let that stop you from exploring the neighborhood. You can take a FREE ride along Euclid Ave. from Forest Park Ave. to Washington Ave. You can call or text the shuttle for a ride. Hop aboard!
