Small Business Saturday | Central West End

The Central West End is home to dozens of locally owned restaurants and retailers, and on November 27, businesses throughout the neighborhood will host special Small Business Saturday promotions that you won’t want to miss! As you shop and stroll throughout the neighborhood, you can also enjoy festive street performers, carolers, and live music to help you get in the holiday spirit.
This year, more than ever, it is important that we support small businesses in our community. Shopping in the Central West End provides jobs for local people and when you spend money at local businesses, you’re helping to boost the community by stimulating the local economy. Support your city and help the CWE thrive, while also finding great gifts for your friends and family.

Jingle: Holiday Pop Up | World Chess Hall of Fame
Jingle is an over-the-top, holiday-themed pop-up with a chess twist at the World Chess Hall of Fame! During the day (Nice hours), families and children will enjoy Jingle’s hot chocolate, cookies, and treats while having fun with hands-on activities and projects. At night (Naughty hours), Jingle transforms into a 21+ cocktail lounge with chess-inspired drinks and small bites from Kingside Diner.
Jingle has converted the World Chess Hall of Fame’s third-floor gallery into a kitschy, winter wonderland complete with floor-to-ceiling decorations, themed chess sets, and an illuminated, multicolor-changing bar, perfect for sharing selfies and season’s greetings! Visitors can also peruse the museum’s exhibitions during regular business hours with free admission.
Jingle tickets during Nice hours cost $5 per person, which includes soft drinks, hot chocolate, cookies, and crafts. Jingle tickets during Naughty hours cost $10 per person, which includes 1 complimentary drink ticket (additional drinks available for purchase), soft drinks, and light appetizers. Members of the World Chess Hall of Fame or Saint Louis Chess Club will also enjoy a free holiday gift from Q Boutique with each ticket purchase.
Jingle is open November 19, 2021-January 2, 2022.
Market on McPherson | Pass the Past
Please join Pass the Past this holiday season as they showcase more than 40 local vintage dealers, makers, and artists. Market on McPherson will happen every Friday, Saturday, & Sunday beginning on November 26th and ending on December 19th. This is an indoor event. Masks are required.
