The St. Louis Symposium on Radicalism in U.S. Arts Keynote Speaker – Prince Shakur

The Left Bank Books Foundation and Left Bank Books present Prince Shakur, Keynote Speaker for the Aestheticizing Politics / Politicizing Aesthetics: The St. Louis Symposium on Radicalism in U.S. Arts.

 

Aestheticizing Politics / Politicizing Aesthetics: The St. Louis Symposium on Radicalism in U.S. Arts. is a two-day public humanities event that will take place on August 23-24, 2024 at the Schlafly Branch of the St. Louis Public Library. The symposium will feature presentations from artists, academics, writers and activists focused on the intersections of radical politics and artistic practice.

 

The symposium keynote speakers will occur at Left Bank Books on Friday, August 23, with Maxi Glamour and on Saturday, August 24, with Prince Shakur. The keynotes will start at 7 p.m., and doors will open at 6 p.m. Shakur’s presentation will be followed by a book signing. Books are available to purchase from Left Bank Books. Doors will open for the event at 6 p.m. with poetry readings from 6:30-7 p.m.
