Spring Gallery Openings in the Central West End

St. Louis art lovers take note — three of the Central West End’s world-class art galleries will open their spring shows with coordinated receptions on Friday, March 25. The shows (listed below) will feature contemporary work created in a variety of styles and mediums.

Duane Reed Gallery
James Marshall and Aaron Karp, running through April 29
The gallery will also showcase a mural installation and recent work by artist Daniel Burnett.

Houska Gallery
Zack Smithey, running through May 20

Philip Slein Gallery
Monochromatic Paintings by Robert Sagerman, running through April 30

All shows will open with receptions from 5-8 p.m., which are free and open to the public. Visitors will also be able to enjoy music from the Southside Jazz Trio, featuring progressive and bop jazz standards, from 6-9 p.m.

“We are excited to see our galleries coming together to create an experience that celebrates the incredible art and culture in our neighborhood” says Kate Haher, executive director of the CWE North Community Improvement District.

Also opening this spring: outside in, inside out at Atrium Gallery (April 1) and People & Other Creatures at projects+gallery (April 2).
