Phil Dunlap Quintet at World Chess Hall of Fame

World Chess Hall of Fame is partnering with Jazz StL to bring the Phil Dunlap Quintet to our 3rd floor gallery for a special performance, as part of their monthly concert series. Pianist Phil Dunlap, Jazz St. Louis’s Director of Education and the leader of the Legacy Jazz Quintet, has put together a new project with an all-star lineup of St. Louis’s finest musicians. Featuring Montez Coleman on drums, Jahmal Nichols on bass, Danny Campbell on trumpet, and Ben Reece on tenor saxophone, the Phil Dunlap Quintet will perform a hard-swinging mix of originals and hard-bop standards in the vein of Horace Silver, Cannonball Adderly, and the Jazz Messengers. Arrive early, have a cocktail, get access to the galleries, listen to a 1 hour live performance, and then adjourn for drinks or dinner at one of the nearby restaurants.
