The number one ranked chess player in the world is competing in his first high-profile tournament in the United States at the Chess Club and Scholastic Center of Saint Louis! But champion Magnus Carlsen holds more titles than the “Mozart of Chess.” He’s also the youngest player to be ranked number one and he served as a model with Liv Tyler for a G-Star denim campaign. Who ever said chess players couldn’t be smart and savvy?

Carlsen will be competing against three others that are ranked in the top 10 including Levon Aronian, Hikaru Nakamura and Gata Kamsky . The tournament, the Sinquefield Cup, will occur September 9-15. The CWE is excited to host these world-renowned guests.
