Alarm Will Sound at the World Chess Hall of Fame

The World Chess Hall of Fame (WCHOF) is pleased to present musicians from Alarm Will Sound on Wednesday, May 28.
“Alarm Will Sound is one of the most respected groups of musicians in the country, bringing their creativity to institutions like the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York and partnering with chart-topping groups like Dirty Projectors,” said Susan Barrett, spokesperson for WCHOF.
Five members from Alarm Will Sound’s 20-member ensemble will be a part of the evening. The group is dedicated to the creation, performance, and recording of innovative contemporary music. Its performances have been described as “equal parts exuberance, nonchalance, and virtuosity” by the Financial Times and as “a triumph of ensemble playing” by the San Francisco Chronicle. The New York Times said that Alarm Will Sound is “one of the most vital and original ensembles on the American music scene.”
This performance is part of an ongoing, monthly series at WCHOF.
