Duane Reed Gallery is pleased to present new work by ceramic and sculpture artists, Lindsay Pichaske, Steven Young Lee, and Alessandro Gallo.

Lindsay Pichaske: “The desire to create a believable sense of life pulls me forward as a maker. In my recent work, I sculpt animal forms out of inanimate materials that rely on touch to take shape, like clay, string, and hair.”

Steven Young Lee maintains an active studio practice rooted in both functional and sculptural ceramics. His current work examines cultural references and how individuals draw realities based on experiences and environment. Through his sculpture and vessels, he challenges preconceptions of style, form, symbolism, superstitions, and identity,

Alessandra Gallo’s work was featured in the Summer Exhibition at the Royal Academy of Arts in London and in the 54th Venice Biennale in 2011. In 2012, he was awarded a first place grant from the Virginia A. Groot Foundation. In 2014 and 2016 he had solo shows at the Jonathan Levine Gallery in New York. Alessandro was selected as a Demonstrating Artist for 2018 NCECA (National Council on Education for the Ceramic Arts).
