Curator-Led Tour: Behind the Scenes with our Curators

Join the WCHOF for a behind the scenes look at their new exhibition “US Chess: 80 Years—Promoting the Royal Game in America,” plus their exhibitions “Harry Benson: Kings & Queens” and “Universal Turf: Peter Manion.” Curators Shannon Bailey and Emily Allred will also be available following the tour.
“US Chess: 80 Years—Promoting the Royal Game in America” celebrates the US Chess Federation, the official governing body of American chess and its many accomplishments since its 1939 founding.
“Harry Benson: Kings & Queens” is a photography exhibit spanning the 60+ year career of world-renowned photojournalist Harry Benson CBE.
“Universal Turf: Peter Manion” is a mixed media installation of never-beforeseen works by Saint Louis-based artist Peter Manion that explores social and interpersonal parallels between chess and humanity.
Box lunches will be served at 11:45 am after the tour. Reservations required.
