BookFest St. Louis

September 23, 2017   •   10:30 am - 9:00 pm

Celebrate the Central West End’s literary heritage at the inaugural BookFest St. Louis, proudly presented by the CWE North Community Improvement District, Left Bank Books and the Left Bank Books Foundation.

Featuring a diverse mix of locally and internationally renowned writers, with appearances by award-winning authors such as Sherman Alexie, Ann Leckie and many more.

BookFest will take place in the heart of the Central West End, home to “Writer’s Corner” — where statues of authors and one-time St. Louisans Kate Chopin, T.S. Eliot and Tennessee Williams pay homage to the neighborhood’s legacy of letters.

Festival-goers will be able to enjoy panels highlighting the best of contemporary literary fiction, poetry, memoir, science fiction, young adult fiction, mystery and history, as well as participate in family-friendly activities including book sales, literary crafts, poetry slams, live music and more within the McPherson Avenue festival zone and at other venues throughout the Central West End. BookFest St. Louis will also include a keynote address by Alexie, an acclaimed poet, novelist and memoirist, on Friday, Sept. 22.
