This week the Central West End was chosen as one of the 10 Great Neighborhoods in the United States by the American Planning Association (APA). For those of us who work, live and play here this is no surprise. With rich history, beautiful architecture, bustling sidewalks and extraordinary restaurants, we are like no other.

The CWE North Community Improvement District is proud to be a part of such a wonderful neighborhood and congratulates all the businesses, residents and attractions that made this happen.

The APA serves the Great Neighborhood award annually and also recognizes Great Streets and Great Public Spaces in the nation. The Central West End was the only place in the Midwest to make the list for 2014. Other neighborhoods chosen include: Adams Morgan in Washington DC, Fremont, Seattle, La Alma/Lincoln Park, Denver and Richmond, Virginia.
